How I came up with the idea?
I have provided anesthesia for over a decade in small offices and ambulatory surgery centers. Working closely with gynecologists, we have performed more than 1000 hysteroscopies. The main issue with all these procedures was opening the cervical canal to allow passage of hysteroscopes. Medical practitioners could avoid many failed procedures and unnecessary anesthesia with the correct instrumentation. In my experience gynecologists need trained assistance for performing hysteroscopies, and in many cases such assistance is non-existent delaying the operations. I knew the right cervical dilator could solve all these problems, and that’s how I came up with the idea.
